How to Wash Natural Black Hair

1. Pre Poo With Oil

The first step to washing natural hair is to pre-poo. It’s essential because it protects your natural hair from drying up and thus keeps it moisturized.  Apply natural oil on the root of your hair all the way to the tips. You can use this chance to detangle your hair as it was brittle and stiff before. Let the oils settle for 30 minutes on your hair. Rinse with running water.

2. Time To Apply Shampoo

After you wash out the pre-poo oils, apply some shampoo to your hair. Make sure you apply it on your scalp as well. Get a good lather out of it by mixing it with water before using it on your hair. During this process, you really want to massage your scalp and get it clean and fresh. When you are done, run your hair on water and rinse off all the shampoo.

3. Condition Your Hair

Apply the moisturizer from the mid-length of your hair to the tips, spread it all around it, and leave it for a few minutes. As that happens, detangle yourself again. Finish this step by washing it all out.
