  • Fishing line (0.3mm)
  • Nal cutter
  • Regular-sized beads (use your preferred colors)

Whether you are making an African beaded bracelet to mark World AIDS Day or celebrating your patriotism through a flag, the following are the steps to follow:

  1. Cut the fishing line using the nail cutter to a length of between 12 to 20 inches
  2. Pour the beads into a flat container
  3. Hold the ends of the cut fishing line with both hands
  4. Pick the beads using the ends per your preferred colors. Then, crisscross (left end to pass through the right bead and vice versa) to make a star. Finish by tying so that the next star doesn’t mix with the previous
  5. Continue the same procedure using the other cut fishing lines. What determines the output is your bracelet design.
