Located on 5186 East Main Street Whitehall, 43213, Flavour 91 Bistro has everything you want in a restaurant. From salads, burgers, sandwiches and different varieties of fries, you’ll be more than satisfied. 

Plus, they pride themselves in using organic ingredients which means your food is always fresh. 

Flavour 91 Bistro drinks menu is perfect for anyone who loves a bit of wine, soft drinks or beer. They offer specials on particular days of the month so be sure to check them out to know when.

4. Preston’s

For those who can’t live without burgers, Preston’s is your go-to black-owned restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. From classic burgers, pastrami bacon, mushroom and Swiss to spicy boi, Preston’s promises that their burgers will leave you wanting more.

5. Marlow’s Cheesesteak 

Marlow’s Cheestakes is one of the black-owned restaurants you should eat at in Columbus, Ohio. It’s on 93 N. High St. Gahanna. 

They give you the option to create your own cheesesteak and offer speciality sandwiches like The Johnny Boy, parkside salmon cheesesteak among others. Sides like fries and cheese fries and beverages like bottled soda and bottled tea are available.

6. Modern Southern Table

Modern Southern Table is a black-owned restaurant in Columbus Ohio run by a family. They believe that incorporating family values leads to the success of the business.

7. Lifestyle Cafe

If you want organic, farm-to-table dishes, then Lifestyle Cafe, a black-owned restaurant in Columbus Ohio is where you should be heading. Located at 891 Oak Columbus, OH 43205, they pride themselves in building a green business.

Lifestyle Cafe has a wide menu that consists of fried plantains, fried mushrooms, side-kale salad and much more. If this is something you’d like to try, they are open from Tuesday to Sunday.  

8. Upper Cup Coffee

If you want to have a cup of coffee brewed with love from Eritrea, Upper Cup Coffee is where you need to be. Based in Columbus, Ohio, they serve a wide variety of your usual espresso shots to iced drinks. Some of their accompaniments include croissants and muffins plus different types of sandwiches.

9. The Pit BBQ Grill

The Pit BBQ Grill is the brainchild of Ohio State University alumni Bryant Browning, Chimdi Chekwa, D’Andre Martin, and Mike Johnson. That said, Bryant and Chimidi are no longer part of the business as they left to focus on their interests.

They did a great job. Honestly, the video they’ve set up on their website should make you visit. The food looks yummy! The Pit BBQ Grill, located in Bubbly Food Hall in New Albany, 6065 Central College Rd, has a dynamic menu.

Their signature dishes are the PIT fries made of fresh-cut fries topped with your choice of pulled pork, pulled chicken or brisket, cheddar cheese, and PIT Sauce.

The other is the PIT Bowl which is made of meat on a toasted brioche bun with our award-winning Mildred’s Mac and Cheese, PIT Slaw and PIT Sauce. Additionally, they have different types of sandwiches.

10. J’s Sweet Treats And Wedding Cakes

Juana M Williams is the founder of the restaurant. She has no training in culinary but her love for baking sweet treats for friends and family resulted in one of the top black-owned restaurants in Columbus Ohio. 

The baking menu is dynamic and suits any occasion you can think of. The bakery opens from Monday to Saturday so be sure to check it out for some sweet treats.
