The series, based on Tembi Locke and Attica Locke’s New York Times best-selling memoir From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home, will consist of eight episodes and will premiere on October 21, 2022.

Denzel Washington‘s A Journal for Jordan is a love story about an unlikely romance, a distant father, a single mother, and the indelible bond they both wanted their son to understand. Dana Canedy (Chante Adams), a New York Times reporter and editor, was pregnant when her fiancé, First Sgt. Charles Monroe King (Michael B. Jordan, was deployed to Iraq. She gave him a journal, which became a solace for him, a safe place to connect with home at the end of the day.

  • Jumping The Broom: The film features an interracial marriage between Sabrina Watson and Jason Taylor. The film’s cast includes Laz Alonso and Paula Patton among others.
  • If Beale Street Could Talk: This film was produced in 2018. It’s a romance story of Clementine “Tish” Rivers and Alonzo “Fonny,” who grew up together. In the 1970s, they found themselves unable to get an apartment to rent in New York because they were black. Kiki Layne and Stephan James lead the cast.
