As of 2023, reports show that the basketball player has a net worth of $1.3 million. She generates this from her endorsement deals. College athletes can’t earn from playing for their school, a rule enforced by the NCAA. 

However, in July 2021, the rules changed, and college players like Angel Reese benefited from this. She can use her name, image, and likeness to endorse products and make deals.  This became a source of Angel Reese net worth.

She has done that since she rose to the limelight as an American basketball player. According to her agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, she is a brand ambassador to several companies and some of them are:

Angel Reese’s net worth might be coming from her endorsement deals, but she’s built a solid career that’ll probably add to it. The player comes from a sporting family. Her mother was a basketballer, and she joined her in a recreational league in her hometown of Baltimore. 

Reese is an alumnus of St Frances Academy, Baltimore, and from her first year, she was exceptional. She led them to a conference title and was named the High School Nationals all-tournament team. After graduating, she attended UMBC, her mom’s alma mater, but missed all the games during her freshman year due to a right foot fracture.

She later transferred to LSU, where she plays as a small forward and power forward. One of her impressive awards is leading the UMBC team to the Sweet 16 in the 2022 March Madness tournament. She also won the Big Ten All-Defensive team in 2022 and was named the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player of the Year in 2023.

The power forward went on and received multiple other recognitions:

College Career

Freshman Year

Angel Reese’s career continued at the University of Maryland. Despite suffering from injuries in her first season, she helped the team win the Big Ten regular title and the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM). 

At the NCAA Tournaments, her school was eliminated by Texas Longhorn’s Women’s Basketball team. To cap a memorable first season, she won a silver medal in the USA 3×3 Nationals.

Sophomore Year

In her sophomore year, the basketballer led the team to the NCAA tournament, scoring 25 points in their loss to Stanford Cardinal. After this loss, Reese decided to move. 

She sought a team and coach to take her game to the next level. Reese joined the Louisiana State University, which had won three NCAA titles. 

The player played a pivotal role in LSU’s win of its first national championship. She scored 15 points, five assists and 10 rebounds. The basketballer was the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.

Controversy

During the final game, Reese followed Iowa’s Caitlin Clarke and did the ‘you can’t see me’ gesture, popularized by John Cena. It sparked controversy as some thought it was unnecessary because she’d already won the game, while others opined that trash-talking is part of the game. 

Some also said Reese was attacked because she’s black, as Clarke made the same gesture earlier. The Iowa player came in defense of Reese. 

Angel Reese continues her career at LSU. She’ll be legible for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft in 2024. When that happens, Angel Reese’s net worth will be boosted as she’ll be able to make money as a professional basketball player.
