Bronny James’ Career
Being the child of arguably one of NBA’s greatest players, it wasn’t a surprise for him to take up the game. In LeBron James, he has a great role model and exposure to what he needs to become one of the best.
He played a variety of sports, including soccer and ice hockey, but wasn’t allowed to play American football due to health reasons. He played for:

- Nike Elite Youth Basketball League
The point guard did all this before he joined high school. Bronny joined Sierra Canyon School, one of the best basketball programs in the game.
On his debut, he scored 10 points to help his school win the game. The team enjoyed a good run and Bronny James was influential and was the only player to feature in all 34 games.

During his sophomore and senior years, the point guard demonstrated his ability on the court, leading the team to several victories. Unfortunately, his school was relegated from the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Open Division to Division I. Afterwards, he was part of the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Nike Hoop Summit.

College Career
After his outstanding high school career, multiple colleges were after him but he chose to join the University of Southern California (USC).
2023 is James’ first year of college basketball. In July 2023, he collapsed during a workout session with his team. He went into cardiac arrest, which was caused by a congenital heart defect. He’s been out of action but has been cleared to play again.
There’s a lot of expectation from Bronny James. That said, basketball fans should give him time to establish himself, and while comparing him to his dad can be a good thing, a lot of caution should be exercised. The weight of expectation can just be too much.
