Green Monkey, Barbados

By the time of its construction in 2004, the Green Monkey was the most expensive and one of the best Caribbean golf courses. Tom Fazio designed the course within the limestone quarry area in Barbados. 

It’s an 18-hole, par 72 course surrounded by green fairways, the Caribbean Sea and spots of rocks. The facility’s name Green Monkeys comes from the animals that are common in Barbados. They do appear on the course but can also be rare so if you see one, consider yourself lucky.

Old Quarry Golf Course, Curaçao

Another gem located in the Caribbean is the Old Quarry course. This is an 18-hole golf course borders the Caribbean Sea, the Spanish Water and the “Tafelberg” mountain

Sandals Emerald Bay, The Bahamas

Sandals Emerald Bay is one of the best Caribbean golf courses, located in the Bahamas. Greg Norman designed this 18-hole, par-72 course. It stretches over 7,000 yards and is surrounded by dunes, fairways and mangroves. 

It’s one of the most challenging courses you can try. After a day of golfing, you can relax in the cosy restaurant and luxurious accommodation. Additionally, you can get access to the practice golf, bunker, shop, club storage and an oceanfront jogging trail.

We can’t list the best golf courses in the Caribbean without including The Mid Ocean Club. Charles Blair McDonald and Seth Raynor  created the 18-hole par 71. Over the years, it’s been renovated to ensure it matches the times. 

For members and visitors, the clubhouse has strict rules when it comes to dressing and conduct. You can access the beach pavilion, tennis courts and various areas of the course.

Punta Espada, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Espada is a strong contender for one of the best Caribbean golf courses. It’s an 18-hole par-72 golf course designed by former golfer Jack Niklaus. It’s surrounded by white sandy beaches, lagoons, cliffs and the Caribbean Sea. The Professional Golf Association (PGA) games have taken place here.

White Witch Golf Course, Jamaica
