Zendaya is a young black actress known for her Rocky Blue. She was born in 1996 in Oakland, California. Zendaya picked an interest in acting and performing when she was just eight years old. 

In 2010, when she was just 14 years old, she auditioned for the Disney Channel series “Shake It Up.” Her performance was impressive, so she got the role of Rocky Blue. 

Her career took a new dimension when she acted as Rue Bennett in HBO’s Euphoria. The series further showed the world how talented Zendaya is. She received several awards, including an Emmy.

Amandla Stenberg

Born on 23 October 1998 in Los Angeles, California, United States, Amandla Stenberg is a young black actress and singer. Her name was on the Time’s list of Most Influential Teens in 2015 and 2016. 

Besides Time’s recognition, Amandla Stenberg has received several awards in the industry, including an NAACP Image Award, a Teen Choice Award, and nominations for four Black Reel Awards. She’s popularly known for her role as Starr Carter in the movie “The Hate U Give.”

Yara Shahidi

The next on our list is Yara Shahidi, a 23-year-old black rising actress. She was born on 10 February 2000 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Yara Shahidi became a popular name when she starred on the sitcom Black-ish and its spin-off series Grown-ish as the oldest daughter Zoey Johnson. 

Yara Shahidi’s movie credits include Smallfoot, Imagine That, and The Sun Is Also a Star. Plenty of Yara Shahidi movies are available on Amazon. You can check them out to see Yara’s epic acting performance.

Joy Sunday

Joy Sunday is a talented young black actress born to Nigerian parents in Staten Island, New York. She has appeared in many television shows, including Wednesday, Dear White People, and Shithouse.

Keke Palmer

Lauren Keyana Keke Palmer is a 30-year-old talented black actress. She was born on 26 August 1993 in Illinois, United States. Keke became popular, starring in comedy and drama shows.

Keke has received plenty of awards. These include a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She made her first acting appearance in Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004). 

Imani Hakim

When you think about the best young, black talented actresses in the industry, Imani Hakim comes to mind. You’ll only fail to remember if you haven’t watched her movies. 

Imani Hakim became popular playing Tonya Rock in the UPN/ CW show Everybody Hates Chris. She was born on 12 August 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.  

Imani Hakim made her first acting debut in 2005 and by 2020 since then she has starred in many movies, including Chocolate City. As of 2020, Imani plays Dana on the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest. 

Sierra Aylina McClain

When it comes to entertainment, Sierra Aylina McClain is a full-time entertainer. She’s an actress and a singer. As an actress, Sierra gained fame through her role as Sierra in Daddy’s Little Girls.

In addition to that, Sierra is also popular for acting as Tanya Clifton in the Mindhunter’s TV series. She was born on 16 March 1994 in Decatur, Georgia, United States. Sierra made her first acting debut in 2005 in the movie The Gospel. Since then, she has starred in A.N.T. Farm (2011-2014), House of Payne (2012-2020), Empire (2016), and Mindhunter (2019)

Letitia Wright

Letitia Wright was born in 1993 in Guyana. Then she moved to London when she was seven years old. The actress started her acting career playing guest roles in television series. She appeared in Chasing Shadows, Black Mirror, Doctor Who, and Humans.
