The Nigerian international is a two-time Welterweight champion. He started out in the sport in 2018. His first title came in 2019 against Kelvin Gastelum, and he became the undisputed champion when he fought off Robert Whittaker. He has defended his title five times and participated in the most title fight wins in the sport. 

2. Jon Jones

Having trained as a boxer and competed in Muay Thai, Jones believes in his ability to fight against the best boxers in the world. True to this, he’s raked up numerous awards in the UFC. He’s been the heavyweight champion twice, has had the longest heavyweight championship reign (1501 days) and has the most consecutive wins in the UFC light heavyweight division with 13.

Demetrious Johnson’s credentials show why he’s one of the best black UFC fighters. The American was the first UFC fighter champion of the flyweight division and won the title 11 more times. Out of 30 fights, he’s won 25. Out of those, he’s won 5 by knockouts, eight by submissions and 12 by decisions. His four losses constitute 1 draw, 1 knockout and three decisions.

4. Anderson Silva

Also known as ‘The Spider’ his most significant move was his striking and knockouts which made him difficult to beat. As a result, Anderson Silva managed to defend his title 10 times, made the most knockouts, possessed the longest winning streak with 16 and the highest number of middleweight fights with 11.

5. Tyron Woodly

Tyron Woodly is one of the best black UFC fighters. He’s won the welterweight championship four times. He debuted in 2013 and won his first Welterweight title in 2016 against Robbie Lawler. He defended his title against Stephen Thompson, Demian Mala and Darren Till. In 2019, he lost the title to Kamaru Usman. One thing that UFC fighters will know is the veracity of his punches. They are considered to be some of the heaviest in the sport.

6. Francis Ngannou

The Cameroonian is one of the best black UFC fighters. People know him for his devasting punch and even went on record for having the heaviest punch. Francis Ngannou a one-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, a title he won in his match against Stipe Miocic. Out of the matches he fought, Francis won 17 and lost 3.

7. Aljamain Sterling

Aljamain is the current holder of the UFC Bantamweight Championship. He’s the first fighter to win this title through disqualification. In 2022, he successfully defended his title. So far, he’s fought 26 times and has 23 wins and 3 losses.

8. Jamahal Hill

Jamahal Hill is one of the best UFC fighters in the game. He debuted in 2020 and is already making waves in the light heavyweight championship category. His first title came in 2021 remains to be the current title holder. Out of 14 fights, he’s won 12 and lost one.

9. Leon Edwards

Leon Edward holds the UFC Welterweight Championship title. He won it in 2022 against Kamaru Usman and then defended it against the same opponent. This makes him the first Jamaican-born fighter to become a champion in UFC history. This has been a long time coming considering he made his debut in 2011. Out of 25 wins, he’s got 21 wins and 3 losses.
