There is a conversation about how Black folks have been receiving a raw deal in America for centuries based on harmful racial stereotypes portrayed by the media. These Black media stereotypes need to be deconstructed by the same media through positive representations across platforms if we are to advocate for better treatment of Black people and portray the right image of them.

Fortunately, many Black-owned media outlets are working for the good of the Black community, narrowing the race gaps in the media space, and ensuring that Black people are well represented in the media industry. Here are the eight best Black-owned media outlets working for the good of the Black community. You should follow them right away to remain up to date on black culture-related news, fashion, politics, information, entertainment, and more.
