Kobe Bryant’s Rings: Number of Championships
Kobe Bryant won five championships during his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers. Let’s look at each one of them.

2000: Los Angeles Lakers vs Indiana Pacers
This was the first of Kobe Bryant’s rings. It didn’t come easy when the Lakers faced the Indiana Pacers. At the time, he was 22 and hadn’t experienced anything like this.
Nonetheless, Kobe teamed up with Shaqueal O’Neil to bring the championship to Los Angeles. Kobe missed games 2 and 3 but was monumental in game 4, scoring 22 points and 26 points in game 6. That was enough to win his first championship ring.

2001: Los Angeles Lakers vs Philadelphia 76ers
In 2001, Kobe Bryant won his second ring and was named in the second team All-NBA awards. He made 24.5 points, 5.8 assists and 7.8 rebounds, contributing to a very dominant season for the Lakers in which he averaged 28 points per game, to win back-to-back titles.

2002: Three-Peat Complete
Kobe Bryant was part of the Los Angeles Lakers team that did the three-peat. The Western Conference finals weren’t easy as the Sacramento Kings forced them to seven games.
During that period, there were 16 ties, and the lead changed hands 19 times, which only shows that it was a tight game. In the finals, they beat the New Jersey Nets 4-0 and were the last American team to do a three-peat.

2009: Los Angeles Lakers vs Orlando Magic
After the three-peat, the Kobe and the Los Angeles Lakers went on a seven-year drought without the title. The team changed over the years as Kobe became the main man.
He was the finals’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) after averaging 32.4 points, including 40 points in the first game of the playoff. His performance was vital in the team winning another championship.

2010: Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics
The fifth of Kobe Bryant’s rings came in one of the most memorable NBA finals games. The Lakers avenged their 2008 finals defeat in the hands of the Boston Celtics.
Again, Kobe rose to the occasion and dictated matters on the floor, averaging 28.6 points, 3.9 assists and 8 rebounds. This saw the Lakers beat the Celtics 4-3 in the finals as Kobe won his last Championship and second MVP finals award.
