Kaizer is the owner of the South African football club Kaizer Chiefs. He founded the club in 1970 after he was sold by Orlando Pirates to Atlanta Chiefs.
On his return, instead of going back to Orlando, Kaizer began his own football club Kaizer Chiefs in 1970. The name of the club is partly inspired by his name and former club. Motaung has led the club to great heights and made it one of the best in South Africa.
