Jaylen Brown – $60 million
In the 2023/24 season, Jaylen Brown signed the largest contract in NBA history worth $304 million over five years. The deal takes effect in the 2024/25 season. The Boston Celtics shooting guard will be pocketing about $60 million annually. The Celtics drafted Brown in 2016 as a first-round, third overall pick and it’s the only team he’s played for.

Stephen Curry – $51 million
Steph Curry has proven to be a gem for the Golden State Warriors which is why he earns this much and is one of the league’s top earners. Curry is on a four-year contract worth over $200 million.
The point guard joined the Golden State in 2009 as a first-round, seventh-overall pick in the NBA drafts. He’s won four NBA Championships and collected numerous awards in his career.

LeBron James – $47 million
This list of the highest-paid NBA players wouldn’t be complete without LeBron James. He’s serving the first of his two-year contract extension at the Los Angeles Lakers and is getting a base salary of $47 million. Even though the small forward is in the twilight of his career, he’s still one of the biggest earners due to his successful track record.

Joel Embiid – $47 million
Currently, Embiid earns $47 million but his pay is set to rise in the coming season to $51 million. In 2021, he signed a four-year deal worth $213 million that will extend his stay at the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s a focal point for the team, which he joined after the 2014 draft as a first-round third-overall pick.

Bradley Beal – $46 million

Beal might not be the most prominent player compared to the ones listed above, but he let his game speak for himself. He’s one of the highest-paid NBA players, currently taking home $46 million annually. Bill began his NBA career at the Washington Wizards in 2012 and after 11 years, left for the Phoenix Suns.

Kevin Durant – $46 million
Durant ranks sixth on our list of the highest-paid players. In 2021, he resigned a four-year contract at Brooklyn Nets that was worth over $192 million but was traded to the Phoenix Suns. The point guard will be part of the Suns team until the 2025/26 season. By then, his annual pay is projected to be just over $50 million.
Paul George – $45 million
As of the 2023/24 season, Paul George makes $45 million per year. He’s on a four-year deal at the Los Angeles Clippers and could choose to remain with the team for a fifth year or sign for a new one. The Clippers are the third team he’s playing for after the Indiana Pacers who drafted him in 2012 as a first-round, 10th overall pick and then the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kawhi Leonard – $45 million
Leonard will be a Los Angeles Clippers player until the 2026/27 season after the team offered him another three years on his contract. The deal is worth $152 million and the Franchise’s President Gillian Zucker is happy to retain the player. He acknowledged his impact on the team and are happy to continue building with him.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – $45 million
No one doubts the impact of Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Milwaukee Bucks team. He’s their go-to player and delivered one of the franchise’s best moments, winning its second NBA Championship in 2021.
This is the only team he’s played for since he was drafted in 2013. Over the years, his pay has steadily increased. Currently, the Greek Freak earns $45 million annually, and that is projected to go up to $48 million in the 2025/26 season.
Damian Lillard – $45 million
Lillard has worked his way up to NBA royalty. From his days as a Portland Trail Blazers player to joining the Milwaukee Bucks, Lillard’s profile has gradually grown. This is seen by the solo awards and recognition he’s collected.
His hard work reflects on his paycheque and the Bucks were ready to dig deeper into their pockets to get him. The point guard joined the team in 2023. By the time he was being traded to the Bucks, he was on a four-year contract and has two years left. This means he has two years left and a possible two-year extension.
