How Much Do Super Bowl Winners Make?

The Super Bowl is a post-season game that takes place after the regular season. Teams that reach the final go through an elimination play-off round to get there.

How much you get paid depends on whether you are on the winning or losing side. It goes without saying that winners get more.

According to the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) for the 2023 NFL season, Super Bowl winners get $157,000, while those on the losing team get $82,000. That figure might sound small but make no mistake, it’s not something you should scoff at. Any player who gets this chance to earn extra dollars will.

Apart from the winning bonus, winners get a championship ring valued between $30,000 and $50,000. Of course, players can sell them for more.

How Does It Compare With Previous Years?

The amount of money earned by Super Bowl winners has been on the rise. In the 2022 season, the Los Angeles Rams got $150,000 and the losers got $75,000, lesser than what the 2023 winners got. In 2021, the figures were lower, with the winners earning $130,000 and the losers $65,000.

How Are the Figures Determined?

Payments made during the postseason and the Super Bowl are determined by the National Football League (NFL) via a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The amount of money they get is the same regardless of their contract and the type of player. The only difference is whether a player wins or loses the final game.
