The 2024/25 European League season is underway and this means you’ll watch the best Premier League players. All eyes are on Manchester City as they bid to win a fifth title. However, Arsenal can spoil the party if they go one better this time. They missed out on the title with two points and are making reinforcements.

Stamford Bridge is a revolving door. With a new manager in Enzo Maresca and several signings, Chelsea fans are eager to see how the team fairs after a series of botched changes. Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, Erik Ten Hag has more time to work his magic, after pressure to have him fired for underperformance. Let’s not forget the promoted sides, Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich. Can they stay up?

Mohamed Salah is one of the Premier League players to watch. He is in his eighth season at Liverpool, despite being the subject of transfer rumors. Salah is in the last year of his contract, which was last renewed in 2022, but it remains unclear whether the Egyptian will stay around beyond that. He was part of Arne Slot’s team at the opening weekend and even scored a goal in the team’s 2-0 win over Ipswich. Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad offered the Reds £150m for him but they rejected the bid.

Andre Onana is looking forward to delivering an improved performance, like the entire Manchester United squad after a disappointing season last year. After much praise, Onana came under fierce criticism for his positioning, and the seemingly inability to make “simple” saves.

When they lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, the Cameroonian took responsibility for allowing an easy goal. He’ll look to put his critics behind him. He opened the season with a clean sheet against Fulham and joins a list of Premier League players to watch.
