International Career

The forward played for England’s U17 and U19 teams between 2017 and 2019. In 2020, Lauren James joined the national team for the first time, and her first senior appearance came in 2022. She was named in England’s World Cup squad.

After a player of the match performance against China, she was banned for two games for ‘violent conduct’ against Michelle Alozie.

The player is a gem. Her footwork, composure, and situational awareness during the game set her aside from many. Football has become more technical, with various attributes like dribbling being coached out of players in favor of passing and moving the ball. James’ flair on the ball is one of her stand-out qualities, and she has many more years to become even better.
