It generates money through ticket sales as fans normally fill its stadium to capacity during matches.

5. Orlando Pirates – €19.80 million

6. Esperance De Tunis – €18.60 million

Esperance has won its league 32 times, won the CAF Champions League four times and the CAF Confederations Cup once. Also, it has secured lucrative sponsorship with companies like Delice Group.

7. Pyramids FC – €18.38 million

Pyramids FC is yet to win any significant titles but has a rich owner who bought in some big-name players and resources that helps them compete at the highest level.

8. Kaizer Chiefs – €14.20 million

9. USM Algiers – €10.30 million

Winning titles at the continental and domestic levels has played a big role in its success. This attracts sponsorship interests that further strengthen the club’s financial standing.

10. AmaZulu Football Club – €9.59 million

AmaZulu FC might not be one of the clubs that come to mind instinctively when it comes to title talk in the South African League but historically, it is one of the most successful. It has won one title and some cup competitions. 

That said, when it comes to the money league, it is one of the richest clubs in Africa. As of 2023, AmaZulu FC is worth €9.59 million.

The clubs indicate that proper management of leagues and teams can lead to massive success. Contrary to what many might think, African football can be profitable.
