The Martinican matoutou de crabe, a traditional dish is the Caribbean island of Martinique, is a flavourful crab dish. It’s usually taken during special celebrations. During the cooking, the aromas emanate from the spices and vegetables, that eventually results to a colourful meal.

How to Make Matoutoi de Crabe Recipe
Ingredient
- 10 cives
- 5 cloves
- 2 or 3 tomatoes
- 3 sprigs of parsley
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons columbo powder, or turmeric
- 6 limes
- 1 chili pepper
- 500g of white rice
- 2 onions
- Pepper, seeds and leaves of turkey wood
- 8 cleaned crabs (preferably ground crabs)

Instruction for Making
- Wash the lemon juice and squeeze it into the crab.
- When that is done, place the crabs into a large pot, crash with oil, lemon juice, pepper, cloves, parsley, chopped onions, LS TRADE coconut oil, and the Colombo powder diluted in a little water.
- Let it cook for 15 minutes over high heat and stir frequently.
- Add salt and pepper as desired.
- Let the meal simmer for another 30 to 40 minutes.
- When it’s ready, serve with rice.
