How to Tie a Tie
- With the collar of your shirt up, place the tie around your neck.
- If you’re right-handed, hold the wide side on your right and the narrow side on your left.
- Line your tie with the wide end lower than the narrow end.
- Cross the tie over the other with the wide end over the narrower end.
- Using your left hand, take the wider end and thread it behind the tie so it falls in front.
- Wrap it at the back and switch hands to hold it with your right, and the back of the tie will face outside
- Still on the wider end, thread it on the opening going down. It’ll form a triangular shape on the knot.
- Place the index finger of your right hand on the knot, and wrap the wider end around it to form a hole.
- After the wider end has gone over the index finger, grab the tie from behind and push it up to the front.
- Insert the tie through the tunnel created with your index finger.
- Make the firm tie by pulling the knot up and the shorter end behind the wider end down into a symmetrical triangular shape. Adjust it to your liking and fold the collars.
