How to Take a Screenshot on Mac

Method 1: Cmd-Shift-3

This is the simplest way of taking a screenshot on a Mac. On the keyboard, press Cmd-shift3 and this will capture your entire screen.

Method 2: Cmd-shift-4 

Another way to screenshot on a Mac is to press Command-Shift-4. It will turn the cursor into a crosshair, which you can use to capture the part of the screen you’re interested in. After highlighting the section, release the mouse or touchpad to take the screenshot.

Method 3: Cmd-shift-5

Pressing cmd-shift-5 will open a panel at the bottom giving you options to capture a shot. You can capture the entire screen, a selection of your screen or a window.
