Capture the flag is one of the most popular summer camp activities your child can be involved in. The game requires getting their flag from their opponent to catch their flag and take it home without being caught. It’s a fan game that’s open to kids of all ages. This helps kids to work together, makes them competitive and produces fun.

Tug of War

Campfire

Treasure Hunt

Treasure hunt is among the best summer camp activities your child can participate in. It involves kids being pirates, preparing for a treasure hunt, and going out to find gold coins, jewellery, and all kinds of treasures. They store some of them as treasures to use in the next game. When kids are looking for treasures, they are given a map to help them find these objects. As it involves a lot of searching, discuss the limits of their search to avoid getting lost or going into dangerous places.

Talent Show

What better way of spending summer than letting your kids participate in a talent show? You can register then in one, or if the school is planning one, let them go. Whether it’s singing, drama, dance, cheerleading, modelling, public speaking or sports, it’s a great way for them to explore their abilities and put themselves out there. Who knows who’s watching? It might be a great way of creating opportunities for them.

Storytelling

Storytelling is one of the best summer camp activities you can engage children in. It’s a practice that needs no expenditure. Plus, kids love telling stories. You can start the session by setting the scene and telling them one story, and passing the chance around. Alternatively, you can make this a collaborative session by writing two sentences and passing them around for the participants to build on the story.
