Deta Hedman
Deta Hedman is a British-Jamaican and one of the most famous black dart players. She was born in Jamaica in 1959, but his parents emigrated to the United Kingdom with them. She began playing darts in a pub in Witham and Essex.
At the age of 25, Hedman joined a super league and in 1987, began playing in British Darts Organization events. In 1990, Hedman played in the Women’s World Masters final for the first time and lost to Rhian Speed. However, four years later, she won the title.
Three years later, Deta Hedman retired from darts due to work commitments. That was not the end of her career. In 2002, Hedman returned as a Professional Darts Corporation player.
In 2004, Hedman became the first female player to defeat a man in a televised major. She retired and came back again and played in the BDO World Darts Championship, the PDC, WDF and WSDT.

Ray Cornibert
Ray Cornibery is among the famous black dart players and one of the pioneers in the black community. He hails from England and made his mark in the game in the 1970s and 1980s. He played in the British Open but lost to Cliff Lazarenko and showcased his skills in one of the game’s most prestigious events.
He also played in the Australian Grand Masters. One of the highlights of his career came in 1980 when he featured in the BBC Two program Bullseye. In it, he competed against Eric Bristow, garnering a lot of public attention.

Devon Petersen
Devon Petersen is referred to as The African Warrior, was born on 4 June 1986 in Mitchells Plains, Cape Town, South Africa. He started playing darts in 2004 and has competed in several events, including the World Masters, the World Championship, World Matchplay, the World Grand Prix, the UK Open, and the European Championships.

Leonard Gates
Leonard Gates is an American professional dart player who has been active since 2007. He was born on 26 November 1970 in San Antonio, Texas, the United States. Gates has won numerous championships, including the 2023 WSDT Champion of Champions, the 2023 World Seniors Darts Masters winner and the former PDC North American champion. Interestingly, Gates played baseball for the Massachusetts Mad Dogs, Abilene Prairie Dogs, Catskill Cougars and Nashua Pride.
