Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp. of salt
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 Maggi cubes
  • 2 kilos of chicken
  • ½ cup of palm oil
  • 2 ” of ginger minced
  • 2 big onions minced
  • 3 tbsp. of peanut butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp of powdered smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp. of powdered cayenne pepper
  • 3 tomatoes minced Or, tomato paste

Instructions
 

  • Wash the chicken and set aside
  • Pour the palm oil into a non-stick cooking pot and brown the chicken
  • Take the chicken out of the oil
  • Saute the onion for 3 minutes
  • Add the garlic and ginger. Add the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and Maggi cubes
  • Add your tomatoes or tomato paste.
  • Add the chicken, salt to taste and stir
  • Simmer the poulet moambe for 20 minutes on low heat
  • Take out the chicken and add the peanut butter, mixing evenly in the sauce
  • Add a ½ cup of water to the sauce and stir slowly
  • Add the chicken back to the pot and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat
  • Serve with any rice, boiled yam, spaghetti, potatoes, or boiled plantains.
